Remote and Private are two words that best describe Quesnel Lake Caribou Lodge. Like a precious gem hidden from public viewing, it lies tucked away in the northern most reaches of Manitoba's Nopiming Provincial Park. Accessible by a road etched into the rugged landscape of the Canadian Shield, this resort will have one of the eleven private cabins waiting for you.
Located on a chain of three lakes, Q Lake Lodge truly is an angler's dream. Quesnel, Manigotagan and Happy Lakes are home to Manitoba's classic Golden Walleye and Happy Lake's Jumbo Smallies.
On your first day and evening up to the lodge, your group can enjoy an interpretive tour of historic Caribou Lake aboard the pontoon boat, The Caribou. You'll be baiting your hooks as it is guaranteed that your guide will have you over some of his favorite walleye holes... Pickerel Point, Eagle's Perch ... m-m-m-m ... fresh fillet for dinner. The next morning they'll have your group on the famous Manigotagan Hump, a structure where trophy walleye lie in wait just for you.
After a 25 minute boat ride the next morning, you will arrive at the base of Happy Falls. Your guide will have you over the portage and in another boat on Happy Lake within minutes. Welcome to the Happy Lake Smallmouth experience...
This is a storyline relayed by many guests at the lodge.
Mid-day, your group will be treated to a shore lunch on a private wilderness island on Manigotagan Lake and tonight, back at the lodge, Sauna Quesnel awaits you. Imagine a soothing wood-fired sauna for you and your friends to end the day.
Quesnel Lake Caribou Lodge is a drive-to fishing resort accessible by a scenic wilderness road (11 miles) that has been developed over this boreal region of the Canadian Shield.
