Walleye are the most popular sport fish in Manitoba. Most walleye average 1 to 2 kilograms (2 to 4 pounds), which is an excellent eating size.
Each year there are about 600 Master Anglers caught in Manitoba, with dozens of them caught in Quesnel, Manigotagan, and Happy Lakes!

The Manitoba Master Angler program has been around for over 50 years. Each year, thousands of trophy fish from over 30 species are caught. Almost 90% of are released.
There have been over 690 Master Angler walleye registered from Quesnel, Manigotagan, and Happy Lakes.
